     I have been in the IT field since 1998, where I worked at AOL as a call center technician working my way into development. Once in the development building I moved into the Beta department where I was introduced to testing, developing and working with the different analytical tools. These skills were used in my future roles. It was during these years that I decided it was time to go to school to get a degree matching the skill set I was using. I started at the University of Phoenix and had a setback, after some time, I decided to finish what I had started, as my daughter was in college, it seemed the perfect time. I finished my first degree a BSIT/SE. I knew I loved to learn and wanted a doctorate, the only way to accomplish that task was …  to get a Masters and that task was completed in December of 2016 when I received a MIS/ISM. 

     I have two daughters, my youngest lives in Colorado and works for Allstate,   and my oldest graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a degree in Chemistry education. While there she worked with the Chemistry Education Doctoral Candidates. So, when I said that I wanted to get my Doctorate she helped me find a school to attend.  I am very excited to be starting on this journey here at CTU.
